We would kindly ask for your understanding that due to the complex logistic arrangements related to the organisation of the EQE, this assessment will require some time. The Examination Secretariat will revert back to you as soon as there is a decision taken by the Supervisory Board. Also, please understand that due to the high number of enquiries received, answering individual questions will take more time than usual.

We sincerely regret this highly unsatisfactory situation for all concerned. Further information will follow in due course, in particular related to the reimbursement of the fees.

Best regards

The Examination Secretariat
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-84485326297399657592020-03-05T09:18:51.031+01:002020-03-05T09:18:51.031+01:00According minimum pass grade to every paper for ev...According minimum pass grade to every paper for every candidate?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-52279756650410664932020-03-05T08:51:01.646+01:002020-03-05T08:51:01.646+01:00An only option is to use local authorities as invi...An only option is to use local authorities as invigilators (is this possible?) and arrange more facilities in some countries (with candidates more than 50) to bypass the limitation of 50?

PaulAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-88040455391448038772020-03-05T08:48:37.703+01:002020-03-05T08:48:37.703+01:00Waiting for a decision from the Supervisory Board....Waiting for a decision from the Supervisory Board... cancellation or postponement?

And I like the suggestion by G above (if Pre cancelled, then allow all candidates that to sit main next year).

Need to know soon!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-52291297305140957122020-03-05T08:30:34.812+01:002020-03-05T08:30:34.812+01:00> EQE is a local event

In comparisson the EQE is a local event. People travel to the test sites but generally within their own home country and the test has people at their own desks without talking to each other.
I can see that the supervision might be a problem, we'll see how they deal with it.
Let's hope that if they reschedule, it will be soon enough, so that we can all get results in time to register for next year's exam.
Just cancelling is really not an option, people are going to want their money back and many of the candidates professional life depends on being able to take the test.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-79452505214369200912020-03-04T20:46:46.139+01:002020-03-04T20:46:46.139+01:00No insider information - this is following the sam...No insider information - this is following the same pattern that INTA went through before cancelling. Unfortunately, everyone is panicking and demanding action, but the only action they accept is cancellation.
I also know something about how the EQE is organised logistically - splitting candidates up into groups of fifty might be possible, but they will need extra supervisors. Many of these are EPO employees.
With INTA, many law firms & companies threatened to boycott or not allow their people to attend. This is also likely to have happened with the EQE.
I hope that it does go ahead, and I would happily attend or even supervise, but no-one seems to want to be publicly seen to be taking risks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-17146888395614792032020-03-04T19:17:53.343+01:002020-03-04T19:17:53.343+01:00I think he or she is right. EPO-employees can no longer travel to supervise. The exam is held at the EPO in Berlin & The Hague, with more than 50 people. In the past, they made sure that the conditions are equal everywhere, so they cannot let it go ahead in some places and not in others. It may be postponed to May, but that is also not certain. Good luck getting refunds from hotels and airlines - you might be able to rebook if the new dates are known. And most insurances will not cover this as a reason for cancellation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-679018012520334708.post-36830035108878795372020-03-04T16:29:21.561+01:002020-03-04T16:29:21.561+01:00Does this include the EQEs?
