Good luck to all EQE 2019 candidates!
We wish all candidates that sit one or more EQE papers next week good luck / bonne chance / gute Fahrt!
Our EQE blogs will be open for your comments and opinions w.r.t. the Pre-Exam, A, B, C and D shortly after the exams. We will post our (provisional) answers to the various papers shortly after the exam. To facilitate the discussions, we will also post copies of the papers as soon as possible after we received reasonably clean copies.
All candidates, as well as tutors who helped candidates prepare for EQE 2019, are invited to contribute to the discussions on our EQE blogs! You can post your comments in English, French or German. You are invited to post your comments under your real name, but it is also possible to use a nickname.

I think that should be "Viel Glück!" not "gute Fahrt!" ;-)
ReplyDeleteCan we please have „First Impression“ threads for A and B? Thanks & cheers!
ReplyDeleteB was certainly not designed for 3.5 hours. The exam committee probably intended to drop the pass rate. Of feels really unfair, also comparing the paper of last years. This exam was not mainly about testing B capabilities of csndidates, but more testing speed writing capabilities.
ReplyDeleteWe'are hard at work with Paper A and B! Having said that, we'd appreciate a scan of a (preferably clean) English version of Paper B to any of our 'usual' e-mail addresses. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFor paper B, you can check Pete Pollard's site:
Deletehttp://saltedpatent.blogspot.com/2019/02/eqe-2019-paper-b.html
I am dying from B.... so confirmed that i will be resitting it...
ReplyDeleteHi, I was wondering if anyone knows when they usually post your scanned exam answers on the EQE portal. I remember reading somewhere that this would be in April?
ReplyDeleteWhy donot you call the Exam Seceratriat?
DeleteI would guess April/May, but indeed, why don't you call the EQE Secretariat?
DeleteBy the way, the results for the main came online in the last three years on:
- Friday 29 June 2018 for EQE2018,
- Friday 30 June 2017 for EQE2017, and
- Tuesday 12 July 2016 for EQE2016
Fingers crossed!
Didn't occur to me to call to be honest, I thought this might be something known, or at least easily anticipated, like when the results come out (expecting June 28th this year based on the same exam dates as last year). Thanks for the guesstimate Roel =).
DeleteIn case anyone else is wondering - they are online now!
ReplyDeleteNot a thing to joke about!
DeleteThat was not a joke... My papers were online yesterday and still are... I guess it's possible that they are uploaded in batches?
DeleteMine are also available via the EQE web portal under "My Examinations". Not that I particularly want to be reminded of my attempt at Paper B...!
DeleteAn old EQE appeal decision, D 0007/05 of 17.7.2006, was put online on the Recentr Decision pages from the Boards (https://www.epo.org/law-practice/case-law-appeals/recent/d050007ep1.html).
ReplyDeleteWhy would it have been put online?
K
Any news about the results date?
ReplyDeleteI hope it will be soon ;-) Till the end of June...
ReplyDeleteCould be on June 28th this year. This would correspond to the last two years, were the results each were issued on the last Friday of June.
ReplyDeleteIt could be 14th of June this year :-) who knows?!
ReplyDeleteWow! How do you know it? Is it a reliable information?
DeleteThanks
Not before 19th of June this year
DeleteHow do you all come across this information? Speculation or some rumours? I'm getting married on the 29th and really hoping the results will be out before the 28th, so I can get over any possible disappointments...
DeleteDear all, we donot know when the results will become available.
DeleteThe last three years it was 29 June (EQE2018); 30 June (EQE2017); and 12 July (EQE2016) - difficult to draw a conclusion from that.
I donot think anyone that knows can share it right now.
Please only post new dates if you get informed by the EQE Secretariat. But note that even then, the date may not be exactly the date of availability but just an indication.
@Anonymous 10 June 2019 at 23:15: Congrats with your marriage!
Delete(Would have been nicer to have a name, than to address "Anonymous 10 June 2019 at 23:15"...)
I highly doubt that anyone knows anything.
ReplyDeleteJust speculation and/or pomposity/trolling.
Why not faster than previous years?
ReplyDeletePre-exam results were 2 weeks faster than last year...
I don't think there is a connection between the pre-exam and the main-exam, because the respective correction types are fundamentally different.
DeleteThe answer sheets of the preliminary examination are automatically read in and evaluated. There will then probably be a discussion round if there are any abnormalities in the answers, for example answers where there is a quasi-equal distribution of False- and True-Type-answers. If necessary, points are then awarded for both possible answers and the candidates' points are evaluated again. This can be done very well within 2 to 4 weeks.
For the correction of the main exam, the individual answer pages, which contain handwritten answers, are individually evaluated by the correctors. I think this will take the most time. During the ongoing corrections, discussion rounds will be held again and again, as it is probably impossible to make point adjustments after the correction has been made, since then all answers will have to be evaluated again.
Therefore, it is better not to make any statements based on the preliminary check. Anyway, it will probably not take much longer, since we now have already mid-June.
I emailed the EQE sec. and they replied "week 26", which means last week of June. So, a little more patience...

Thank you Natasha!
